Turns over for about 3 revolutions if doesnt start it disengages from ring gear. Try it again you might get a grinding noise.eventually it starts.once warmed up and been running the bike starts right away. Had primary cover off and it looks good i am wondering if it could be the gear the starter rides on.. 1988 was a year of this style jackshaft and it was changed in 1989.any of you guys had systoms like these? What ya think jackshaft starter or both. Thanks for your time.
