Default 96-crank 2007 what's the percentage

I ride hard but don't do burn outs or wheelies I recently read an article saying the 06-07 twin cams had a rash of week cranks. I am putting together a mild 107 but don't want any drama. My Dyna is. A 2007 made Oct 2006. Anyone know what the chances or percent of these bikes have **** cranks? It has 211 cams now runs great but the 107. 57h might push the envelope.?

Don't know where you read that or what "expert" you're citing, but I've had my 07 for almost 10 years and haven't heard anything about that. If you don't thrash it too hard the odds are that it will not self destruct. If you want to be absolutely 100% sure about it get the crank trued and welded.

There were limited issues in 07, of all the bikes that ran through the shop in Colorado only mine and one other had a crank shift, if it hasnt happened yet...probably not going to!

That being said, nevils suggestion of sending it out to be trued and welded is worth the time and expense. Send it to Dark Horse!

07 here with FM 107, had a emerency stop (can't remember if I pulled the cluch, probably not, ended in the ground lol, **** stock brakes) runout stays at 0.004, 31000 miles, and I beat her sometimes but never done any wheelies or runouts, not my style.

2004's were the absolute worst, and 2007's had their share, and that is a cold, hard, fact.
Check it at the install, and then again, say, in about 2500-3000 miles to witness any right-side flywheel half movement.
IF wanting to sleep real good, let Darkhorse go thru it, or at least pin/weld.
Scott
