So have you ever had the rocker cover bolts come loose? I doubt it.

Few things to mote on the rocker cover differences.. The TC only uses 1 top cover and 6 5/16 bolts to hold each cover own . Evos use 4 1/4 inch boles and a 3 piece cover. The top piece has to locations to seal. One to the middle piece and 1 to the bottom.. The middle piece sandwiches between the top and bottom with 2 rubber gaskets in grooves. This is really hokey.. If you get a good one you won't have any problems unless the rubbers get hard. Some will not ave any issues other will get a set that really doesn't meet the stack up or has issues with the groves. If you got a good set you are happy. Bad set may leak after a while..

Both have rocker base issues. Evos are worse since they only have 5 1/4 inch screws and 4 5/16 on the rocker shafts.. TCs at least have 6 5/16 for the rocker base and the rocker shaft screws.. HD has been through a number of revisions on both Rocker base gaskets but I suspect the EVOs have had more.

While you might assume that everyone checks heir fasteners, you'd be surprised how many of them have loose shift arms on the trannies.. There's a cottage industry on fixing those when they strip out from being loose.. When was the last time you check yours..

So you remove the spring clip and check axles tightness every 1K? Good for you..

How often have you replaced the gas tank grommets?

If you turn your own wrenches.. IMO it's prudent to chase bolt holes and bolt threads and use loctite to proper specs to keep things from coming loose.

****And if you two f@$kers wanna fight take it to pay per view****
Jk..
Both of you have posted things that have helped me in the past.
My thanks to you both
