Default Removing exhaust leak build up on jugs.

Title pretty much says it all.
had a mishap last weekend and wash out in some gravel. Scraped the exhaust up pretty good, so I ordered a new one. As I pulled the old one off, I noticed the old one must have been leaking slightly, there is build up all over the front jug port.

What should I clean all that up with before installing the new pipe? Any suggestions ?
