Default Fresh 107 on bench. Hissing out intake valves

So I recently had my crank done and got head work also. Did a 107 with Tman 625 cams. This thing is still on my work bench(everything new as far as I was told)After the fact this may have been a bad idea. But, I got out my fancy ratchet wrench and began slowly turning it over a couple times. I can hear blow by out the intake valves. Is this normal?? Or should I be calling the shop that put it together for me?

Thanks in advance

Perform a leakdown on it, as Kirby has already mentioned.
If the shop used conventional double-wound springs, the upper valve collar could be touching the lower rocker cover, holding the valve open.
Only a guess.
Seen that on OE S/E models on many occasions.
Did not cause any issues except unwanted noise.

Also just talked with a reputible car mechanic. Clean valves will hiss terribly according to him.

Whaaaaaaaaat????????? Really? Does that mean that dirty valves don't hiss? or at least not terribly? Two reputable Harley pros have suggested a leak down test; me thinks that is good advice.

Should not be any hiss... If you have roller rockers, rocker covers are likely holding the valves open and need clearancing.

I should qualify that,.. The intake can hiss a little when closing but not near TDC on the compression stroke..

What makes a person reputable???

I see that term thrown around alot, and it usually seems way off.

Maybe I need to grab a dictionary and re-read the meaning??
