Default Tool stuck in Rocker box - help please

Seeking mechanical help. Advice needed. I did something stupid and can't figure out the solution.

I have a ratchet drive with a socket jammed in the rear rocker box. I was in the process of removing the complete rocker box.

The socket and ratchet is on the left side breather plate bolt. I was loosening this bolt and continued to loosen with the ratchet until .....the ratchet head topped out against the Dyna frame. The head is against frame with no way for me to switch ratchet direction. Yes, I should have used an open end wrench. But it's too late for that. The breather plate bolt is about 1/3 loosened.

So, on one end is the socket on the bolt and the other end is the ratchet head wedged against frame. I can move ratchet handle about 90*. But I can't remove bolt nor can I tighten the bolt back down to release the ratchet.

I have to somehow break or cut the socket or the breather bolt in the hopes of releasing/collapsing the ratchet free.

Bolt cutter?
Torch?
Any expert advice?

Believe me, I'm already hitting myself in the head!

Thanks for any advice.

Short of cutting that bolt off, I've got no idea. You can't get a small screw driver and push the directional clip the other direction, I'm guessing. Good luck.

Nope. I tried that. There's no way to access the directional clip. Ugggg. Thanks.

Slim vice grips to grab the socket and rotate clockwise to tighten the bolt.

Small needle-nose vise grips. Tighten bolt as needed...

Reciprocating saw with a good blade, or a grinder with a cutting wheel............

Try lowering the engine at the front mount.

Thumbs up

Thanks R1cochet and Frostbite!

Spinning the socket clockwise sounds like a winner.
I'll give it a try!
