Here's a stock cam plate that looks like every other stock cam plate I've installed or taken out. They all have imperfections in the castings (early TC88s were much better). I'm not trying to one up you to be right OP, but an internet post with a couple pics and no true resolution can cause a case of kennel cough that lasts for YEARS. Guys stumble on a post like this and suddenly everybody has a cracked cam plate. I don't do casting for a living but I'm telling you they ALL look like that (except the aforementioned early TC88s) and I've never had one fail.
This is how Harley Davidson does things, like it or not.

I understand completely. As I said, you can't go wrong with S&S.

More than a few professional builders, have stated the capabilities of the stock plate/pump, and on my build it would have been more than adequate. However I went with the S&S TC3 only because of the extra scavenging of the 3 stage pump. The other 3 stage pump option is the Thayer (the original) I would have purchased that one but the S&S was part of a package deal. SE and fueling pumps are still 2 stage like the stocker. I see nothing wrong with the ones you have but the most important part is the other side where the pump mounts, is there any wear there?
