I will post about my positive experience with S&S as soon as they make it right they sent something my way on Friday and I am expecting UPS to deliver it tomorrow, will report then.

PS. 3 sets of cams all having the very same issue is a quality control problem of theirs which they have to address IMHO.

IIRC, Andrews grinds cams for S&S as well as most other cam vendors. Quality control issue, maybe but I would bet that the percentage of cams that get out like the ones in question is hardly measurable. You order a set of cams and they pull them out of inventory and send them; I doubt anyone looks in the box. If the customer gets a set that doesn't meet spec, S&S replaces it without question once the defect is proven. I am pretty sure someone from S&S is bending an ear or two at Andrews.

This is not correct. Andrews does not grind cams for S&S. They did years ago but S&S started doing there own about 10 years back.

Appreciate the correction; I have not been paying attention over the years. Looks like Saurus has a valid point on the quality issue being in house. I expect S&S will deal with the issue straight away.

No one wants to make a mistake.
What separates the good, from the bad, and the fugly, is how the issue is handled.
I'm sure all will end well.

So I got the replacement cams from S&S on Tuesday last week, wasn't able to see them till Friday as I was out on a business trip, but this is what I got... As you can imagine I sent an email to S&S on Friday evening expressing my shock, horror and disappointment and got a reply this morning that they will be sending me another set of cams overnight and that they will visually inspect them before shipping. I really hope that this will be the final set of S&S cams that I need as my build is all ready to go except for the cams.

Good news

I got another set of cams from S&S overnight last week and was able to install these over the weekend! Great service by S&S.
