Hey guys. I know there's been a lot of talk about cams on here, past and present. but i can find scant info on what exactly I looking for.
2011 fxdf fatbob 96ci. What is the best set of cams I can go with for a stage 2 without a heavy overhaul on the motor. Just want to do cams, boost the low-mid range up and tune of course. A lot of ppl recommend the 585 cams, even from dealer, but dealer says don't waste the money, do port/polish etc etc when you get the cams done. Problem is, I ain't got 5k that they quoted me to get it done. I just want cames, stage 2 and dyno tune.
So what you all recommend? Harley website doesn't even have the 585's available for my bike, their all for the 103's and above. lots of info on that, lol. Thanks in advance.
Andrews 48 and Cycle Rama 570-2 are both popular and proven cams for what you're after. However proper exhaust and a comprehensive dyno tune are needed to get desired results

Another vote for Andrews 48's. Great cams for a 96 and they will do exactly what you're asking for.

Can't go wrong with Either one... The woods 222 is also a great bolt in cam....
Thanks for the input guys. Exhaust and tune is not an issue, currently have
V&H Big Radius 2-2
SE Heavy Breather
V&H FP3
Also still have the original, old model, SE Pro Tuner that came with the bike. Just waiting to get the bike where I'd like it, then it will be on the dyno for some in depth tuning.

Andrews 48 and find a good tuner in your area. The tune is the a very important part of a cam job.Dont go for the canned map bullshit that is not a dyno tune.
