Default S&S TC3 cam plate and oil pump

Got a 07 punched to 103 with 10.5 comp pistons mild ported polished heads woods tw 777 cams, was wondering if is it worth changing the stock cam plate and oil pump with the s&s tc3 plate and pump? bought the plate along with some andrews 57h cams and decided to keep the 777 cams instead so don't know if it will be worth taking it apart for just the plate and pump.

Pump not needed. Been running 07 EGC with close to 90000 miles on a stock pump. From about 15000 it.s been a 103 with good heads, 4 different cams till 79000, Last cam was 777. Currently a 107. Bike has had over 100 pulls on different dynos. The plate and pump are good items but you really don't gain anything unless the stuff you got is shot.

How many miles on the current stock pump, how many miles since it was inspected (going to guess that was when the 777s were installed,) and was the oil pressure relief spring changed?

What was/is your crank run-out?

Those are the biggest things, other then if you have noticed problems.

If everything was/is good, I would leave alone.
IMHO.

We carry S&S pump/plates and Fueling OE plates, and those are available for those that do want them, however, we use the OEM plates, and pumps constantly in even our large cube engines.
Nothing wrong with those.

Scott - same opinion for M8? I'm going to do Big Bore 124 build. I had ordered the S&S kit but don't want to waste $600 if its not needed.

We've installed 1 S&S pump/plate kit at this point on an M8 that sumped horribly...40oz.
Only one we've witnessed, needing attention.
BTW, those 124" cylinders/pistons are available w/o the complete kit.

Did the pump/plate kit resolve the sumping issue or were there other factors involved?

I check every cam plate I take off, I have yet to see a stock OEM one not go into by-pass by 25psi and have less than 30% leak by. With that said, I use them after I put a new plunger and a heavy by-pass spring in them.

The install of the S&S products corrected the issue.
