The best thing is a Credit Card and Road Side towing insurance along with a Cell phone.
I got this from Amazon, took the sockets and drivers out of the box and put them in a soft bag so as not to take up a lot of room. "Original Metrinch USA 12pc 3/8 Drive 12 Point Socket & Ratchet Set".
Also added a spark plug scoket, Allen wrenches, magnetic Screwdriver set, adjustable wrench, pliers, needle nose and dikes,, extra 20 and 22 gauge wire, butt splices, tape, extra fusses, assorted nuts, bolts, and screws, 14" nylon cable ties, safety wire for the Hot spots, all in a soft shaving kit bag. Also any extra parts that you have found that you have needed to replace on a regular bases. (I have had to replace the adjustable "Hose clamps" that hold my heat shields on to my after market exhausts and extra stop light, turn signal bulbs)
This along with my rain suit go in a saddle bag along with a couple of rags/ towels.
Think about just what you can do beside the road with OUT any spare parts.
