Default Piston selection
Hello all . I need some help . I have a 2004 Electra glide 103 screaming eagle . I have some blow by from a scratch in the cylinder wall and need to have them bored . I was looking at going 20 over but I am confused as to what pistons to buy . I’ve seen several 20 over pistons on various sites but how will I know the pistons will work in my motor? With a all the different bore sizes I’m a bit confused like 3.49 or 8.51 I don’t know what this means . Any information or help you could provide would be much appreciated. Thanks

Speak to whoever is going to re-bore the barrels for you and ask advice on replacement piston compression ratios dependent on your motors specification / what you want to achieve.

id use CP pistons,id also have your cylinders bored to 107"

Op...listen to prodrag, he kinda knows what hes talking about. Google veetwinperformance.com Take all of the guesswork out of it and call kirby...see that...how easy was that ? Lol

As already suggested you should consult an expert. Harley cylinders need a competent shop to rebore them and you already have one suggestion for a great chap above!

I suggest to bore to 107".
We offer that in a kit form with all needed gaskets.
