Compression release mechanical angle & location

Thats a M10x1.0
I only went .700 deep on the tap drill, which was plenty for my tap to work with 1/2 inch deep MCR.
I thought that the hole was going to come out in that corner, thought about going to a 17degree or 20 but didn't want to try on my good heads. would of been better in the bottom of the tub and more angle on outside be better for getting to.
Posted this so others can see with pics if they decide to do it, I could hardly find any inf.
