Default Stupid question...again

Anyone know if you can reuse a MLS head and Base gasket that has NOT BEEN HEAT CYCLED? I torqued down everything but want to remove them to check the stud torque and piston jets. Again bike has not been cycled. Just wasn't sure if its a squish and done.

I think once you torque it, it’s done......why risk a leak down the line? A new gasket head set is what, $5 or so? Worth it to just use a new gasket IMO....

yeah they're about $50 and no one local has them in stock. I'll just wait and not chance it. Thanks

It'll be fine. Head or base gasket. When i check squish band, clay valve pockets ect I have the heads off and on a million times. And they get tq every time i do that. I've pulled the jugs and reused the same base, head and rocker gaskets mid season too. Never once had a problem.

I have refused MLS gaskets on my Evo and never had issues... Even ones that have been heart cycle and just used this copper coat

As others have said, no worries to reuse the MLS head gasket; have done it many times.
