124 crate install for a Road King
Pipe dream recently is to do an S&S 124 crate into my 07 Road King. Currently my motor was built up to a 107 amd I'm pulling around 105tq. However I want more lol. I was wondering what is involved with a motor swap. S&S mentioned needing a trans drill tap, oil line kit, tune obviously. I've worked on transmissions all my life, never really got into the engine side of things. Appreciate any input.

It bolts in like any other engine, but it oil feeds and returns differently. S&S has some of the best documentation and what needs to be done for the oil lines is spelled out with good pics. I suggest you read them for a good overview beforehand.

Check out the S&S website, as they have stacks of technical information available. They make several versions, so you should be able to get one to match your trans, oil system etc.

just wondering if someone can explain this oil line setup. There's a vent and return line that goes to the transmission. What oil is running through this and what is it's purpose ? https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...4a6d65d058.jpg |
It's to get engine oil in and out of the engine while sharing the crank case pressure with oil tank. Just like stock has to. I was told the reason S&S did it different is because of patent laws but I don't know that for sure.
