Asking if i can get away Running Andrews 54N cams in this motor / bike 2005 FATBOY. Heads are stage 2 ported with over size valaves and Compressionreleases. Compression is 10.27 Compression with corrected 9.35 with 194 cold crank Compression. This is with an .o45 head gasket.
If i use an .o30 head gasket it bumps up to 10.6 compression with corrected 9.65 and 202 cold crank Compression. I have an Power Vision and access to a great dyno tuner shop near me. Limited to an conversion cam due to stock inner case. I did replace the bearings with Torrington bearings. New style cam plate and oil pump.
I ran a 02 RKC at 10.8 with Crane H290s for 50000 miles. CCP was 220 psi. It can be done. The guy tuning needs to know his stuff. If your want more HP add a throttle body. Exhaust can be a big part of making HP or heat.
i ran these cams and they worked very well for me,,,,,use the .030 head gasket, they will like it. i hope your engine is at least a 95 inch,,,,i got over 100 hp&100tq with tthese cams 10.5 1 comp and Kirbys stage 2 headwork..
