Default Heavy Breather?

I have a 08 street glide with Rhinehart true duals and stage 1 download. Thinking about putting a heavy breather on it. Do I have to have reprogrammed for the heavy breather or can I just bolt it on? Thanks for any advice!

you will be ok with the stage 1 download. It allows for air cleaner, exhaust, and increses your max RPMs to 6200. just bolt it on, your ok. Nice choice on heavy breather I put one on my sons 2010 roadglide last month.

Yep you will be fine with the download you have.
Of course adding a bit more fuel can be a plus but not required.
Had the SE heavy Breather on my last 3 RG and RGU's.

The Stage I download is designed/programmed around SE components, not aftermarket. So while it will add a bit of fuel, don't expect optimum performance without a proper tune. The Stage I download used to increase rev limiter to 6200 but not any more. Best results will come from installing the heavy breather, pass on the download and invest in a tuner, either a fueler like the Dobeck TFI which you can tune yourself or one of the more sophisticated systems like Power Vision, SEST, TTS, etc. JMHO.

The dealer download is still lean. They cannot put enough fuel due to EPA regulations. Below is a thread that you might find very useful when it comes to this subject.
