Default Tire question before pulling the trigger.

Going from the stock 19 inch wheel to a 21 on my 97 FXDS-Conv. Tire size I should be getting is a MH90-21 or an 80/90-21, right? Just making sure before I order. Thanks Guys

Anypros going to the 90/90-21?

MH90 and 90/90 are pretty much the same. 80/90 is a bit skinny. Run at 31 PSI.

I agree with Spanners, also check load ratings if considering the 80/90 (80 mm is almost half an inch narrower than a 90mm), as you don't want a wimp up front when you bang on the brakes.

90/is good but don't get a Dunlop, they dive into every road snake and crack you pass, Metzler is much better.. not sure what kind of fender clearance you will have but I went to a 120/70 on my FXSTC with the stock 2.15" wide wheel and could not be happier... Bigger is better....

That 120/70 really should be on a wider rim old chap, minimum of 2 3/4" for the beads to seat properly, spec for an Avon is 3 1/2". It's quite popular on custom Touring bikes amongst the TC brigade.
