Looking to install the quick release docking system on a 1991 FLHTC. I see most of the hardware systems are listed for 1997 and up. Anyone have experience/know if those kits will work on the 91? They look to be the same. configuration. New to the site. Thanks for any assistance.

 

The quick release system wasn't around until after your bike was made, there never was one for it. That 1997 system you mention was probably when they were introduced, by which time H-D had changed several new features on the Touring bikes, so the kit didn't retrofit - easily. If you simply want to be able to remove and refit your tourpak it is only held on with four screws which take a few moments to remove, which only leaves disconnecting the electrics, which can be achieved by installing some suitable connectors. I've done that with mine.
