Default 1998 ultra exhaust question

My 1998 ultra has stock pipes and I found two sets of screaming eagle pipes,
one is off of a 2002 screaming eagle road king and the other set is off of a 2009
screaming eagle ultra. My question is will either one of these fit my 1998 ultra
without doing any modifications to put them on?
Also would the 2009 have cats in them, I don't want any pipe that does.
I do want a bit louder than what I have with the stock pipes but not too loud.

Thanks
Michael

Just the mufflers or the whole exhaust system? I think the 2002 should work for you. If it is just the mufflers, I'm pretty sure you have the new style connectors, or they should be the same as the 02. The 2009 is probably going to be that under the frame crossover thing, and that won't work. I have a complete '07 exhaust on my bike.

'02 will work no problem.

Yup! Up to and including '08. I have an '08 aftermarket system on my '90. The only reservation about '07-'08 pipes is that they may have O2 holes, which will need blanking plugs (as mine does).

I believe an '09 cross-over system can be made to fit, but will not bolt on.

If your referring to the mufflers and not the head pipes, both would fit,
'09 non Cali bikes had no cat in the head pipes except the Cvo.
I think the stock right muffler had the cat on '09s.

The screaming Eagles probably don't have cats in them, not 100% sure.
Should be able to look in the front side of the muffler and see the cat if it's there.

Yes just the mufflers, I will check them both out and see and pick one set up.
The same person has both of them.

Thanks

I just put a set of stock 2015 Road Glide mufflers on my 98. Got them for $15 at dealer (take offs). Bolted right on. Just a little louder than the original stock pipes

What if anything would the screaming eagle mufflers do for my stock bike?
I was told it would make it a little bit louder than the stock which I want.
If I get them I will ask Fuel Moto to send an updated map for it.
The guy that has them is back in town now so I do need to decide or fine a
cheaper set.

Are you guys changing the transmission exhaust mount to go to the newer systems?

My 1994 has an aftermarket setup from a 2002 on it and the transmission mount is in the wrong spot to even be in the right ball park.

I have an '08 Supermeg on my '90 bike. The trans exhaust bracket isn't the original stock one, but a period aftermarket one and is just fine.
