Default Gas gas everywhere ohhhhhhhh nooooo

Went to start the evo up this morning and it was very cold for Florida. About 36 burrr. I started to smell gas and looked down and it was pouring out. I tracked it down to the vent tube from the s&s. I know enough to check my vent between the tanks when I am off on Wednesday. Any other recommended plans of attack? I figure drop the bowl and check the float to make sure it isn't stuck....,

Or keep it, fix it and don't about the short comings that come with a twin cam.....unless you want a mobile heater for your pants.

Float is stuck or filled with gas. Clean it or replace it.

You might have gotten a load of gas with some crap in it. Drop the bowl, take out the float and I bet you find some junk on the needle and seat. Then all you'll have to figure out is if any gas made it down the throat and in into the motor.

Hygroscopy (etymology and pronunciation) is the ability of a substance to attract and hold water molecules from the surrounding environment. This is achieved through either absorption or adsorption with the absorbing or adsorbing substance becoming physically changed somewhat.

The reason why 98HotRodFatBoy is correct. Brought to you by E-10 gasoline and corn juice. When the alcohol separates out(and it does) the water is absorbed out the atmosphere and allowed to set on the aluminum seat causing corrosion. It also affects the rest of the carb, not as bad, because the seat is highly polished for the little rubber tip to seat in. An additive like "Star Tron" helps.
