Default New FXRD Possible Paint?

Hey guys I just picked up this FXRD off a buddy of mine, has 50k miles, runs fantastic, all original. is it possible to only repaint the blue on the bike? the grey has all of the emblems that say Grand Touring

Of course it is...But, You will turn an Expensive OE paint job into a Customized item worth less than half as much...
Don't like the color? Get a set of Sheet metal and Paint away!!!!
That's the way I do it anyway...

Beautiful bike! Excellent!

A good painter can do pretty much anything.

(But I'm inclined to agree with Racepres that I'd be reluctant to make big changes to that bike. Those touring model FXRs are borderline collectible anymore.)

Well done. That's a rare bike, I doubt if many were made. Harley had a brief love affair with touring versions of the Dyna, I had an FXDXT, but none of them lasted long, due to lack of demand. By all means do with it as you please, but for our sakes think long and hard before spoiling it!

Thanks everyone, sorry I didnt make myself clear. The OG blue paint on the bike is faded so I wanted to have the blue repainted keeping it original.

I think your best bet would be to find the right decals and have a good painter repaint it the whole bike with the stock colors.

That's an awesome bike, I had one once. Production figures were in the low 900s, it was priced about $400 less than the Electra Glide Classic which has a major upgrade that year. (86)
I'd have to say that finding those decals would be close to impossible.
Congrats on the bike, you'll love it.

Definitely is very nice. Have you tried a little elbow grease to bring it back to life?
