Default 85 FLTC CLUTCH issue

So I have had to adjust my clutch cable multiple time in the last few days. The adjustment screw on the pressure plate has no more room left. Does this mean it's time for new friction plates? Please help.

I think you will find that one or both of these parts is ready for replacement.

Throw out bearing and release finger...under transmission cover...common failure on that model...easy fix...or

You can covert to a modern ball and ramp and never have to fix it again.

when you're sitting on the bike, the right side trans cover. take the cover off with the bike on the kickstand, you might not even have to drain the trans. the release fingers and the throw out bearing is right there. you can't miss them.
