Nice comparisons but if we all liked the same bike set up the same way what a boring world it would be.

I love the stock handlebars on my Wideglide, it was one of the things that attracted me to that bike. I'm a low bars kind of girl. Makes it easier to handle in my opinion. It's funny that you would rather see the Street Bob bars on the WideGlide, the handle bars are what turn me off about the Street Bob.

I will agree that the skinny front tire can make some pavement a little more challenging but I'm used to pavement that sucks, I live in Illinois after all. I just don't like the look of the fat front tire on the smaller bike models.

I've never ridden any of those other models, I think because I don't find them as visually appealing as the FXDWG. I was just in the dealership tonight and didn't give any bikes a second glance because I knew they weren't what I want. I do sort of like the Switchback but I think that interest is driven by the hard bags that lock, other than that I really don't like the rest of the bike.

Likes and dislikes aside the taller the bars the easier it is to countersteer.
It's just a leverage thing and taller bars give you more leverage.

That is affected by height. Someone that is 6'0" is going to find taller bars easier than someone who is 5'5". It's not a one size fits all thing.

To a small amount you are right but you wouldn't believe how tall is really the best for comfort or handling.

I'm 5' 5" tall (or short as you may prefer) and taller bars are easier to counter steer in my experience.

I didn't believe my friends that the taller bars were easier and more comfortable until I tried them for myself.
There is an upper limit of course, shoulder height is optimal for you hands to be.
I'm running 16" bars with 1" risers to get my hands just below shoulder height.

I grant you that taller bars aren't as good looking (IMO) but looks fall way behind function in my decision making process.

I you liked the DWG but disliked the 21" front, you should try a Lowrider.

I have found that if you want to know if your bars Fit you or are Right for you...Enter the Slow race at the next Bike rodeo...
If you even come close to winning...yer bars are excellent for You...
Texas Hills...I don't have any problem Countersteering with Drag bars...
Each their own...wanna Slow race???
