Default 1995 Fatboy carburetor

I am looking to change the carburettor on my 1995 Fatboy and was considering putting back a standard one.

It currently has the Screamin Eagle Keihn butterfly and also has uprated cams (no idea what but as previously done by a Harley dealer...so probably Screamin Eagle also if they do them).

I've been offered a free good Harley carb with the numbers 27088-95 on it.

I have a parts book but only covers 1993/4, so won't have this carb in it.
Did a web search and it comes up with an HDI FX.

Is this the correct one....or similar.....or be OK?

I know you guys will know.

Bemervet - Been trying to upload some photos for the last hour to photobucket.....but it won't accept them. I'll try again tomorrow

Lqqk Out - I've tried the Jersey website.....which is where it came up with HDI FX model. It won't let you search for 1995 parts by model

I'm assuming the HDI stands for the International status, which being in the UK is correct. I would have the the FX and FLSTF engines were the same, therefor the carb would be the same? As it has the choke cable and **** attached, maybe the cable lengths were different?

Yes, I don't believe you can search by model. You would probably need to manually check/search different models. A pain in the ***, but certainly not difficult.

I typically use the OEM HD PartsFinder on Ronnies Website.
1. Click on the year of the motorcycle you are interested in
2. Click on the model

In the search by parts within the unit section
1. enter part number
2. click on search by part number

Yes, HDI is Harley-Davidson International for non-USA spec parts

If you look at the top of the reply box there is a little yellow square that looks like a picture of mountains with a moon over them.
It's just to the left of the "quote" icon.
Click that and the upload a picture from your computer.

That's odd.
Are you using a computer or a phone to access this site?

As for the carb from what I can see it looks like a standard CV carb.

I gotta ask why do you want to change carbs??
Is there something wrong with the one you have?
