Default Some thoughts on this please.

Hi y'all just would like some thoughts on this please as my limited knowladge doesn't know what to make of it.

If I've been for a ride and the bike is warm running ok and idling ok and then I turn her off and leave her for say 15 - 20 min I start her up no choke and she dies at idle I would have to pull the choke out half to make her idle faster or hold the throttle for a while.

I could try speeding up the idle on the Milkuni long idle screw?

But just wondered if this would be normal or a issue especially with my mods?

Thanks in advance.

Every one is a bit different, but it seems to me you may just be a bit low on the idle speed. 950-1050 is about normal for warmed up. Mines a tad higher.

My high idle is 1200 (enricher out), warmed up idle is 900-1000.
So, what's is your RPM hot?

The turn up your idle just a bit and see if that helps.

You could mount a tach on your bike (which is what I did) or wire one in just long enough for setting your carb if you want to.

I would like to install a rpm gauge but one that sits at engine level I'm sure I've see this done before ?? I wouldn't want at speedo or higher level.

Why the hell not????
The higher you mount it the easier it is to see..

Do you have a windshield on that bike?
If so you can hide it behind the windshield. JMO

No windshield

Reason being is for me the bike is 100% period and to add a rpm gauge up top would maybe spoil it's period looks.

However if anyone has any pics of ones they have installed or links or whatever I would deffo reconsider if I saw one that flowed with the bike etc.

Like I said before you can wire one up temporarily just to set the rpms if you want to.

I mounted mine to the handlebar clamp but I don't think you would like it without the windshield.

If you want I'll get a picture of it after a while and post it up.
