Default Lifter noise

Put new Johnson lifter in my Evo because I was getting a little chatter from the S.E. lifters unknown miles. These things sound like they are not getting oil. Instructions are 3 turns out after zero lash. Quickee pushrods .Fired it up let run for about 2 minutes the sound didn't decrease. What's the amount of time these things should quiet down ?

Did you soak them in oil before installing them? I put a cam and New S&S lifters in mine and they were quiet pretty much from start up. I'm thinking they should have pumped up right away. If it ran for two mins and still chattered them somethings wrong. Did you put the lifter block gasket on right? There is an oil feed hole in it. (I'm not sure if you can even put it on wrong?) giving the shape if it

If you willing to fire it up again, Start it and grab the pushrod tubes and push them around a bit and you will feel it.. I had that problem with the HD screamin eagle EZ Install rods. Ended up getting the primo rivera taper lites. problem solved

I had the same problem with a set of s&s quickies. Had to shorten my inner pushrod tubes a little.

Are they directional? And are the pushrods hitting the inside of the tubes?
