I don't see why you couldn't use whatever dot you choose. Somebody would need to explain that to me, really well and in small words so I could understand.

My only concern would be contamination of two different ratings of brake fluid. I would clean them both and do a m/c rebuild to boot just to make me comfy.

Triple trees for an FL softie are narrower than a bagger. This I am sure of. Unless you machine some width off of the wheel hub then a dual disc will not fit easily into a fat boy . Part numbers for light bars are different as well from bagger to FL softail.

Good luck,
Tom

If I remember right I had to machine 3/8" off the hub to get mine to fit.

Ok I got the brembo calipers from an old Ducati. I got me a mounting bracket too

now what is the best way for me to get all of the dot 4 residue out of these old brembo calipers so that I can use it in my dot 5 system?

I took the Harley 4 piston one I used apart an cleaned it up with brake cleaner an put it back together with new O rings. There's videos on how to do it, just search for the caliper you bought.

here's mine after I split it...it had some discolored gunk from the old fluid.

Default What is that little bracket? Or who makes it?

Below is a pic of the Twin Cam, I'll try to get one of the Evo soon...
