The bottom left part of the mount is for the spring. Yours must have broke. You could always weld on a pice of steel...

Its not bracket #41 that bottom left hole is for a mounting bolt (look at my picture post)..

From what's left of the spring mount on my 96 frame, it looks like that's was on there from the factory. Thanks for the pic.

Have welder that knows what he's doing, fill the hole & weld on a fabricated tab in the correct location/angle. Good luck.

Thanks for all the ideas. I went with my idea of drilling a hole, inserting a bolt, and double nut sandwiching the flat part of the frame. It turned out good and if it ever gets bashed off, a new bolt fixes it.

Wondering about the spring hook angle and if the angle changes with position of stand up and down swing....allowing spring to unhook.
It does look good.

I put a little grease on the bolt where the jiffy spring hook rotates on it. Took it for a putt yesterday with a few stops. Jiffy stand works great. Snaps up tight to the rubber bumper on the frame and snaps down with authority.

Much better than when I first got the bike and the jiffy spring was hooked in that hole in the frame. The jiffy stand wouldn't tuck up to the frame that way, hung down a bit. Very happy with this repair.
