Default H-D & Marlboro Man Bike

This is my nearly exact replica of the HDMM bike owned and ridden by Mickey Rourke in the movie. It's a real-deal 89 FXRS and authentic and accurate down to the Metzeler tires. Other than being a hard tail, it rides great and runs like a champ. I bought it in January at the Mecum Vegas auction for a "song". I did a total cosmetic and mechanical "sprucing" up. Gets lots of complements at the cruise nights....what do you think?

I like the way it looks but I don't like the lack of rear suspension. While that is certainly how it was in the movie, I prefer function over form.

I hope I don't come across like I'm pissing in your corn flakes, but putting hard tail rods on an FXR makes no sense. You still don't get the classic look, and you lose all your handling and ride quality.

I love the scene at the end of the movie where he is riding away, and lo and behold there is a smoking hot babe looking for a ride. So she hops on...no pilion seat, no footpegs, no suspension...just her bony *** bouncing off the fender. Yeah, that's how it works.

Anyway, that's a good looking bike. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Love the Bike. Somebody did a great job on the classic bad azz Aces&8s. I would love to have it but Id ruin it by putting on rear shocks. My old gas tank was a knock off of the original.

I love how in the movie the most futuristic thing they could think of is landing a Concorde at the Burbank airport.

Do need to see photos with a girl on the back of course.

My first street bike was a Yamaha XS 650 special. I made my own struts to replace the rear shocks which lowered it 3.5 inches, King/Queen seat and Candy Apple Blue/silver base coat... And went to the dark side for a rear tire..... Loved every bit of it....

Nice ride man....
