Yes it's the same. Your loco Moco should have it in stock... However if you do use the original shifter pawl take a fine file and round the edges where ever the spring makes contact. It will prolong the life of your trans....

Why did you remove the transmission case from the frame?

It's easier for me to test fit everything and I am having a new main drive gear bearing pressed in. I am not going to do the final assembly

I took 98hotrod's advice and took a file to the ultima pawl and then sanded the edges. My backup plan is ..... I ordered a replacement set of oem springs if the baker doesn't fit to reuse the Ultima pawl. The Baker pawl should be here today and I'll post up some pictures for comparison.

No test fitting tonight though as I am at work and get off late. Tomorrow will probably be the day

So I got my new pawl from Dennis Kirk. It showed up bent as far as I can tell because in none of the pictures from baker does it show the pawl being bent

Sorry it all messed up. When it comes to parts from Baker, I would call the direct.... They would give you the 10% forum discount. I deal with Mark a lot...

Is there a difference in the height between the two...? from the pictures it looks like there is...

Yeah. The ultima is taller by a little. I think even if it wasn't bent it would still be taller. All of the rest of it are about the same spec. The pawl shafts are the same length
