1990 Evo ignition problem?
A friend has a 90 Evo he says it shuts down after waiting a few minutes starts back up he rides maybe 10 miles it shuts down again and keeps doing it. So far he has replaced breakers. The bike has original module and coil. He is going to check all grounds and wiring that he can see hates to replace everything if there is a fix.
Have any of you had the same issues?

Pull the cover off and inspect the ignition sensor inside the cone, look for goop oozing out of the sensor...

Yes, common problem. And when it does shut down, immediately check for spark. Probably no spark till it cools off. If you have goo, then you found your problem. The other thing to check after that would be coil, but look at the sensor first. It is probably your problem. YD

Had same type of problem on my 1998 Softail.
Found power to coil was cutting out.
After a lot of time checking power from breaker up to handle bars and back turned out to be a bad connection in the plug between the gas tanks.
The way I tracked it down was with a small light. First connected it to the coil. Bike stopped and light was out so no power to coil. Connected light to breaker. Bike stopped and light was still on so breaker was OK. Just keep moving the light connection along the circuit until it goes out when the motor stopped.
