It doesn't take a lot to remove rockers. I've done it lots of times. I prefer to keep the OEM's rather than introduce adjustables into the big mix of things that can go wrong. And when I'm in there I can check for wear on those parts. There is wear there and it needs checking once in a while.

The thing about Factory Manuals vs Forums is the FM will only tell you the official way of doing it, the forum guys can give you some time and money-saving tips so "Get the FM" is just the laziest of contributions a person can make to a thread....if people posted useful hints and tips, like the forum was designed for then it won't degenerate into the horrorshow of an outboard motor forum I was once a member of.....dude asks question, 50 keyboard warriors chime in with "Get the factory manual"....don't be those people....please.....
