The link you dropped me is $20 less, even with the $5 shipping. Guess where I am ordering it.

Well done! AFAIK H-D still sell manuals going back to before the War, so it seems most unlikely they will discontinue them. They have done all the hard work to prepare them for printing, so simply have to print a few more every now and then.

I agree.. compiling and editing the document is the hard part... hitting print is easy.

I was blown away when they told me that the manual was obsolete.

It was obsolete because the parts guys don't realize that there are Harleys built before the Twin Cam!!!

One way to possibly protect yourself from that kind of ignorance is to get the parts book for your model and learn how to do your own parts searches.

Hell you don't have to buy the parts book anymore as there are tons of sites where you can look up the part you are looking for.
Ronnies, Docs, etc...
They have all the information that's in the parts book and they are free!!!

Back to the topic of this thread...
Have you made any progress with your bike?
Did you do either of the tests I suggested?

Default Adjustments

i haven't been able to mess with the adjustment. I started my night shift Saturday and tonight is my last one. So I'll mess with it tomorrow when I wake up.
