There's probably a piece of trash/gunk stuck at the ball. I'd start by pulling the ball out (clamp the hose from the tank first), cleaning everything up really well, inspect it. Some will take a brass drift and whap the ball down into the pump, kinda making a new seat for it.

Ill
give her a good wackin and see and see how she goes, next thing after that is it's got progressive air system fitted to forks valve in the left grip to adjust the air. I put what he told me to which was 8 psi for the ride home but still very bouncy. I think it needs seals for sure but never dealt with air systems before. Worth keeping or just rebuild back to stock?
Calling her plum crazy like my old lady.

doctors advice is always the best advice.

Old school tip.

The ball at the end of stock push rods and the ball bearing in the oil pump are the same size, so you can use one to 'lap in' the oil pump.

A lot of people change out the air system. I like mine. Note that it is not an air shock, but an anti-dive device. That is, when you have the brake on, a valve closes, isolating the forks from the reservoir (handlebars in your case) and thus creating a smaller area for the air, firming up the front end. I run 20+ PSI in mine, but that's me and the specs for your bike may be different.

Cheers for that, so if the bars are the tank for the air system "mine clearly have a leak" as once I topped up the air she felt a little better but by the time I was home I was back to bouncy castle every time I jumped on the anchors. I'll spray some soapy water around once I get some air back in the system and work out where it's coming from. Maybe I can just run a line and valve to a better location if the leak is internal.

I have some some later model brake rotors that are almost new, did they change bolt pattern etc?

thanks for being such a great help. Means the world to me truly.
