I keep telling myself that I have neither the talent, inclination or patience to build a "show bike". This thing's meant to be a rider, not kept under glass.

That still isn't going to keep me from wincing when I inevitably scratch it up putting it together.

Got the front end put together tonight. The brake lines all fit, so that's nice.

It's weird doing final assembly after five months of test fits. I'm swimming in a sea of blue Locktite here.

One setback. Apparently I (badly) mis-measured the clutch cable. It's like 8" short. Damn. That knocked me right in the gumption for tonight, so screw it. Tomorrow I'm going to mock up the throttle and the carb and see if I screwed that one up too, then get it sorted next week. Oh well.
