weren't the ones with the rear mount oil filter 4 speed trans? My shovel was.

I checked on Ronnie's Microfiche, it looks like the oil bag isn't under the trans on them types therefore room for an oil filter.

Regardless, I'm looking to put it in front of the voltage regulator, at the bottom of the downtubes of the frame. I'll probably cut up my existing mount and tap/install some brass fittings into it, and bend up some 1/4" steel for it to mount to. That's nice and cheap, and I can make it look clean.

One of the Shovels I ride with has the oil filter on the rear and is a 4 speed, catches your attention when you first look at it.

Ya a angle bracket from the down tubes would be strong enough to hold a oil filter housing, should work fine.

Wow, that looks like a tight fit. My oil pan is in the way there, but thanks for the pic.

Plenty of room on mine,but it is a four speed.

you could use a FXR oil filter mount near the rear tire with a ez locatio oil change
