as far as your belts breaking did they all break with the same pulley? maybe a sharp tooth on one of the pulleys? Is there a bump stop on the swing arm?

Yea same pulley within and 2 months of each other. It's was brand new, a matched pulley to the rim set I bought and was 1" wide.
You know I never checked to see there was a rubber bumper for the swing arm. I will check the next time i'm at the shop.. Thanx Langley...
By the way I love my new Craftsmen Jack... $109.00... well worth it..
As parts come in I'll update....
That's about it for now.
$109? - That's only 70 quid FFS, about one hour labour at a local dealer! Cheaper than chips. I'm envious....

Baker says their trannys don't need a break in but mine did.
Any new stuff with as many parts in it as a trans is going to improve with mileage during a 'running in' period IMHO. I suspect what Baker means is that there is no need to baby it. I will certainly be taking things easy with my DD6 in due course, if only to run ME in, as I get used to it!
I have the same Craftsman Jack, make sure you use the safety lock bar, mine likes to leak down ever so slowly. Reason i say that is I do not think your is high enough to engage it.
Thanx Dave. I do use it. Nothing is guaranteed. Right now I'm using it as a kick stand. I broke the one on my shovel an swapped them out. I tried to bend it a little because on the stand the shovel leaned way to much... So now I gotta get that to... So for now I have a Craftsmen kick stand....
