Default Does Love Jugs have any cooling effect on your oil?

Thanks for your post. Please check the Love-Jugs web site. The 2nd item down on the home page is a blue and gold flag entitled "Breaking News". click that and you will be at the AMSOIL heat test. There you will see that this independent test proves that Love Jugs keeps the oil over 50˚ cooler and the Cylinders almost 140˚ cooler under slow riding conditions. This cooling difference will maintain for your entire ride. Surely, the engine life is extended big time and heat related repairs are cut dramatically. At the same time your ride is significantly more comfortable. While you are on the web site navigate around. You will be blown away by Love Jugs. The more you know, the faster you'll buy. Just ask anyone who rides with them.

The oil cooler does little when you're in traffic. I'm sure you've experienced that yourself. By the way, there is nothing similar to patented Love Jugs.

If your running above 10:1 comp I would use the oil cooler.. Piece of mind and 165* oil entering the engine is very good... I would just put it in the return line to the tank....

I would, when my big cube engine was at 10.8-1 with no oil cooler it was a heat monster even with AFR's rich. When it was pulled down for the valve seat problem it had a heated cylinder, needed bored and new pistons.

Installed the new heads leaving compression at 10.2-1 with a Jagg 10 row, heat has never been noticed in any situation. Never did think a oil cooler was needed until big cubes and they change the rules.

I know its apples & oranges but My 111 at 9.8-1 cr does not get hot and S&S said I don't need a cooler. S&S also said if you use an oil cooler make sure it has a t stat. because they want their engines about 180-190*. If I sat in traffic I would proly need a cooler but so would any HD.

11-1 is going to build some heat, what cam are you going to run because it is going to be interesting even with compression releases

Brad has another thread over in the Engine Mechanical section inquiring about an S&S 631and setting it @ 11:1. The lift @TDC is huge and will require extensive head work to make it work. ntraindavefl Had recommended the 9b and I would have to agree... Sets up good @11:1.

Just know how hard a bigger cube engine is to hot start with high compression, it is a starter drive nightmare. Performance is off the charts but would never do it again, starter kickback is a sound I don't want to hear again and will live with a little less performance over breaking a starter drive in the middle of nowhere.
