Default new gaz tank cutoff valve

hi guy i want to know if you use teflon or other things when you install new gaz tank cut off valve

I put nothing on the threads when I install a new petcock.

i have to clean up my carburator too because sometime they leak by the overflow hose when i comeback from a ride and i shot down the motor i have to close the petcock and bleed the carb everytime but some gaz pass over the closed petcock they continu to drip when is closed too about 1 drip by minute

If gas is passing your petcock when it is closed you need to either rebuild or replace your petcock.

When you go into your carb you need to get some polishing compound and some q tips to clean the needle seat. You may have to replace the needle as well.

Yes, use about three turns of teflon tape on your tank threads.
Better safe than sorry.

I use Loctite "Pipe Sealant with Teflon". That's what's recommended in the Harley-Davidson service manual.

regular teflon for plumbing is ok ?
