I think I blew up my bike
98 Road king, fuel injected, no fault codes, 90k miles
On my way home today, I noticed the bike was losing power. Got on the interstate and could barely go 60 mph. it sounded a little funny but nothing too bad. I thought it might be starving for fuel but wasn't sure. I decided to try to limp home. After about 10 miles, I was hearing an occasional popping noise from the front cylinder. A little while later something popped louder and I saw blue smoke out the pipes. I shut down immediately and called a tow truck. When I got stopped it was pretty hot and I had smoke coming out around the rear exhaust at the cylinder. I checked the oil, had oil in it but also had smoke coming out from the oil fill hole.
My best guess is that I was running on the rear cylinder only all the way down the interstate. I don't know why that could happen. I kind of think I need to start looking behind the nose cone. Any suggestions?

Pretty easy I guess. I ordered one from Jireh cycles and they called me a few days later to tell me it was backordered. It is made in China. One of the sealed ones. I was going to get a YUASA but you have to buy the acid separately. 2 1/8 qts. Cost was going to be way way more than the China battery. The one I am waiting on is an Ultima AGM.

That sucks. I know revzilla has yuasa batteries that come with the batterey acid in a container on the side. Not sure what they want for a evo size battery as i usually use yuasa batteries on the metric bikes(factory is a yuasa on both the yamaha and triumph). Good luck and i hope the problem with the bagger isnt too serious.

I'm not worried about the battery for the shovel. I'll just wait on it.
I did a compression test on the EVO and it's not good. I got zero on the rear cylinder and only 90 psi on the front. Plus, the rear plug electrode was dented in like something smacked it. I'm planning on pulling the cylinders next. Bike is on the lift.
