I don’t think this is right. You’'re forgetting about the other curved outlet that his photo doesn’t show. That big one is the drain and the other three bent ones are the feeds and returns

I am confused now, I am not sure what is the correct set-up. Can anyone else confirm?

Thanks for the diagram but I think that is for a different model than the one I have.

On my oil tank I have one large outlet and two small curved outlets (not three).

I`m not forgetting about a thing, this is an early Softail oil tank (they changed in `91...)

There are only 2 curved nipples on this (1987-1990)tank.

Same oil tank that is on my `89 Softail that I have owned since new, and I have had this oil tank off and on many times.

Thank you Dan89FLSTC. I believe that I have the same exact oil tank as you. My guess is that they made different variations in later years.

Does the T-connector off of the main drain reduce down in size for the feed line to the oil pump?

Here is a view, looking forward with the oil tank removed. The t fitting has a smaller size nipple for the feed line to the pump (left side in pic).
