Yup its for a friend im no Indy and hes only paying for parts , approaching this like i would my own

Approaching as if it were my own??? I'd be riding the **** out of it..
If it breaks, I fix it... But, I cannot fix it, if it aint Broken!!!

Like racepres said.
You can only fix what obviously needs repair. In your case it’s a new clutch cable and new battery. I have a couple in my shed that I keep on a trikle in case one ever fails.
Probably a gummed up carb. Some MMO or sea foam, fresh fermented corn juice. Cross your fingers and see if it starts.
Anyway, been a few days and we still
have no pics!
