I have the Dyna ignition modul, but have too get that checked out if It's broken, and makes the problem l have.
The Dyna module I refer to replaces both your current ignition module and the pick-up - it fits inside the the timing cone, in place of the pick-up:

They will both work, but one will give improved performance. Many of us happily change mufflers, air filters, cams, but forget the essential thing that fires everything up. The stock ignition advance curves on our Evos are compromised, just as the mufflers, air filter and cam are!

"Technically" I have heard that curve 2 on the Dyna ignition curve is the stock curve on my 98 stock ignition. I believe my source was Dynatek. I can call them back tomorrow to confirm..
