Now that we've settled the venting issue, the inner primary seal is probably suspect in the oil leaking down the inside of the inner primary.

1. No oil up in that area
2.&3. Most of the oil is located under those areas.
4&5. Never though about those. Thanks.
You wouldn't believe how small the vent is on a Baker transmission.

Sounds like it's time to pull the inner primary and replace a couple of seals.

No the transmission vents to atmosphere through a "U" shaped tube that exits the left side of the transmission behind the shifter.

Yup, maybe next week. I was hoping I was done working on these things.
My Shovelhead trans vent was a tiny hole drilled through one of the top cover screws

I'll be needing to look at that.
