Primary chain case question.

I knew there had to be some kind of a vent somewhere. So, the primary vents into the the trans and the trans vets back into the primary? That's funky. What happens if one of those vent ways gets compromised? neither gets vented?
1. No oil up in that area
2.&3. Most of the oil is located under those areas.
4&5. Never though about those. Thanks.

Sounds like it's time to pull the inner primary and replace a couple of seals.

Yup, maybe next week. I was hoping I was done working on these things.
My Shovelhead trans vent was a tiny hole drilled through one of the top cover screws
