Welcome to the nightmare. I'm a Pan and Shovel guy myself currently riding a 93 FLSTC. I don't think I had as much aggravation with my '77 FXS that I owned for 36 years than I've had with this evo I've had for two and a half years. It is clear to me that the Evolution was NOT the solution!
I wonder what you are doing to yours to make it such a hassle.
Just out of curiosity why keep the EVO if it is causing you so much trouble??????????

I'll do that. I just got it Wednesday. Still finding out things about it. It has a after market petcock. It is either on or off. All I noticed was a fuel line. I did not notice a vacuum line.
Clutch is not fully disengaging. I pulled derby cover to adjust clutch. Primary fluid was all the way up to bottom of derby cover hole. Way to much. I adjusted clutch. Still the same. When I have time going to pull outer primary cover. Have look see and fill to proper level. I did see it has a Rivera/Primo clutch pack. Think I am going to like this Road King. It has a lot of goodies (Alan Johnson heads) and runs like a bat out of hell.

Also-stock ign fail to the rate of the 7th power, it is OLD stuff for sure if still in there.
Daytona Twn Tech is great and very simple.
It gets rid of all the modules.
if you asked me (you did not) the weakest link in the Evo is the nontapered pinon.
ESP if running hi lift cam / big sprigs.
The drive gear nut can come lose.
BTDT.
I put to tacks on it with the tig welder...should hold better than lock tight! LOL
