Great job on your build! I'm sure you're enjoying it.

The positive cable runs under the starter motor on my 90 FLHS.

My OCD is getting a workout with the stock ignition module mounting studs. I think I'm going to get in there with a mini cutoff wheel, then hit it with a drop of black paint.

Something of a milestone: The motor is all buttoned up.

Got the ignition installed and timed and all the wiring tidied up. Watching that LED is hypnotic.

That's not oil, it's seafoam!

Here's a question: The factory rocker bolt setup was a fiber washer under a steel washer. Had the devil's own time getting the old fibers off, too. Anyway, the Cometic kit came with fiber washers AND copper washers, and no instructions. Lacking a better idea, I sandwiched it all together: fiber then copper then steel. Any experience with these? Any reason the sandwich is a bad idea?

You assembled them exactly the way they were meant to go...

The copper works like a slip washer so you don't do any damage to the fiber gasket..
