Looks real good, maybe a lug protector for the positive or both, my luck would be drop a wrench, watch the fireworks.

That's a good idea. One thing I haven't checked yet is to make sure I don't have any clearance issues with the seat. Hopefully not. On those terminals, I had the idea of getting a piece of heavy leather, punching holes in it to fit the mount bolts on the battery box, then draping it over the battery.

How is the trim plate attached to the air filter cover? I want to rotate it 180 degrees.

The battery tray and connections look great.... Nice Job... I'm interested in seeing how long the battery can supply cranking amps on a cold day with a hard start problem.. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying Jinx anything. I am just thinking about the future and How many times you can crank the motor over if you've run into a hard start issue.. Also Did Scott install compression releases?

I think it's glued on.

I'm curious to see how that battery works as well. According to the numbers, it actually has more power than the stock battery, but less energy overall. I've read stuff that says these things can get sleepy when they are cold. The articles I read suggested that they wake up after the initial hit. We'll see. All that would be more important if this was a snowmobile anyway. I'm not much of one for riding below freezing.

No compression releases. I vaguely recall asking Scott about that, with him dismissing them as not necessary. Just like the battery, time will tell...

Omaha,
The air cleaner trim pieces I have dealt with are held in place with two sided tape that has a foam like center.
A heat gun OR some solvent like brake cleaner or paint/lacquer thinner and a plastic scraper (so it doesn't scratch the chrome) should do the job.
I'm sure you realize ya gotta be very careful to not bend the trim piece because it'll never be the same again if ya do.
Best of luck.
Oh, and if you are going to use a heat gun AND a solvent, don't start a fire!!
I had the best result using a heat gun with the plastic scraper heating it from the inside of the cover.

This isn't what you want but might serve as a second or third choice
