You don’t like stainless because of the fact its bare metal (can be painted) or the sound.
I recently swapped out my mild steel ceramic coated with black shields for a Long John BSL straight which is all stainless.
1, the build quality is over the top snd 2. I think they understand how to build snd match for volume. But seem to really have sn edge over the rest.
The difference I noticed was obviously better over the Rush. By a real long shot. And sound? No a days titanium is the lates flavor. But that is untouchable. But before that all the major teams in racing and all of the most exotic high performance cage builders all use stainless. Has a sound all its own.

I think stainless is just show... And I will never over pay like that... But I will over pay for performance, like maybe an RB pipe.... I currently run a Supertrapp and have a few Dyno sheets with different pipes with the same build and for over all performance low, mid and high end the Supertrapp does extremely well... Out did any other pipe I had....

Cool

I've run stainless pipes on bikes for many years in the past, especially BMW twins and my BMW K1 had a factory stainless system. They looked better to my eyes than that system above! An LSR with baffles looks like a wise choice IMHO.

Been a busy week, but thanks for some of the ideas everyone.
I don't see anything from Dragola for FXRs, or even early dynas. Everything looks to be bagger related.
I see the borzilla has an FXR version but I don't know anything about those. It looks like it might be a two part exhaust, maybe use their header and the TH cone?
I don't think I would be able to get over the Danmoto look, not for me haha
Fab28 is out. Way over priced, $1,800?1 I have a friend that has one on his '16 bagger. It sounds like water glass packs and gave him one hell of a flat spot in power off the line. Plus Im not a part of the new Stainless craze. I have seen some bikes I thought they looked good on, but not for me.
Im still looking, might be subconsciously dragging my feet in hopes thunderheader would release something but not holding my breathe. Like mentioned above I might have to look into a 2" header pipe from one maker and weld my TH cone to that?

Jake, the best advice I can give you is to call one of the forum sponsor's like WFOLARRY, OR SCOTT@HILLSIDE OR KIRBY@VEETWIN... These guys deal with this everyday and will point you in the right direction...

Keep in mind, With a performance build it is important to keep the exhaust gas velocity up and the way to main that is with a smaller pipe but that as well is dependent on the amount of air in cfm that the heads can flow or what your pump (motor) is capable of.

My 96" Evo with Hillside stage III heads is flowing 284 cfm@28"and my 1 3/4” Supertrapp has no problems...

Hillside loves SuperTrapps' 2-into-1, so they must be good.....

I'm a know nothing nobody but I have Supertrapps 2-1s on all 3 of my bikes. The FXR pipes, at the time I bought them, came only in stainless without heatshields. If you like to make a lot of noise...pass. I prefer my bikes on the quieter side for a comfortable non deafening ride. The disc system works in dialing it in.

I have these D&Ds posted for sale. Probably work well on a FXR. Might need a new bracket, I'm not too familiar with FXRs.
