Inherited a 94 fatboy
Hey guys with my dad’s passing a month ago I inherited what I thought was just one bike a 1980 shovelhead that need a lot of TLC to restore (see shovelhead forum) but turns out in storage was his 94 fat boy we managed to overlook with everything going on... To my surprise b4 dad passed he bought it last year and parked it 3 or four months ago it’s in great shape I rode it yesterday after a tune up the only thing I can see wrong is that one of my lights and blinkers don’t work the speedometer don’t work and I put a new battery in but it won’t stay charged? What you guys think? And what would be the blue book value I don’t have a service manual yet but it’s on the way!

Speedo- most likely a speedo drive cable issue
Charging - need a volt meter and go through the sticky above about checking the charging system

I replaced bulb for the light but it still flickers got to be a loose connection some where. And thanks for the advice other than the small issues the bike runs like a champ except when it’s really cold outside takes a few minutes to warm up.

Install a Dynatek 2000p (7 pin connector for your bike) and your bike will start a hell of a lot better.
